Dear Newton School Families,
As we reach the final chapter of the 2023-2024 school year, it's a time to celebrate a journey filled with incredible accomplishments and shared experiences. We've witnessed remarkable growth in our students, dedicated efforts by our staff, and steadfast support from our families.
Reflecting on a Remarkable Year
We have so many highlights from an incredible, busy year!
Summer Break: Rest, Recharge, and Rejuvenate
The well-deserved summer break awaits! We encourage students, staff, and families to enjoy a much-needed rest and recharge. Use this break as a time for relaxation, family bonding, exploration of personal interests, and perhaps even pursuing new learning opportunities.
We recommend that students use this time to maintain a healthy balance between fun and intellectual stimulation. Engaging in summer reading programs, exploring museums or historical sites, or even participating in learning camps can all contribute to a fulfilling and enriching summer experience.
Embracing Positive Change
As we look towards the future, we acknowledge that the Newton School District will be undergoing some exciting changes. As always, we want to assure you that they are driven by our continued commitment to providing the best possible educational environment for all our students.
We are excited to welcome two new administrative team members: Daryl Dotson at Berg Middle School and Michael Dale at Newton High School. Watch for video introductions in the coming weeks.
A Warm Welcome Awaits
While we embrace a restful summer, the dedicated staff of the Newton School District eagerly awaits welcoming our students back for the 2024-2025 school year. We are committed to fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
On behalf of the entire school district, I wish you a joyful and restful summer filled with lasting memories. We look forward to reuniting with you in August for another successful school year!
GO CARDS!!
Warm regards,
Tom Messinger, Superintendent
Newton Community School District
The dedication and ribbon cutting for the brand new baseball field at the HA Lynn Stadium Complex took place on Tuesday, May 14. This state-of-the-art facility is ready for future generations of Cardinals to make memories and chase dreams!
Congratulations to the Newton Class of 2024! So much goes into graduation day - from the anticipation of rehearsal to the joy of receiving diplomas. Students and staff shared messages as they prepared to celebrate this milestone together. Share in the pride of Newton's graduating class!
