Raise.Me Micro-Scholarship Program

Qualifications:

Application available for 9th-12th grade, but awards not given until verification of achievements at the end of senior year

Amount: Each college/university that participates offers different awards for different achievements.

Qualifications:

Students who age out of Iowa's foster care system, age out of the Iowa State Training School, or who are adopted from foster care after the age of 16 may qualify for the All Iowa Opportunity Foster Care Grant program. This grant can be used for any college expenses including tuition, fees, books and supplies, dorms and off-campus housing, meal plans, transportation, and personal living expenses.  For the application and more information, click here

Amount: Up to $9,000 each year

Deadline: Application available Jan. 1st through Dec. 1st each year

Elks National Foundation Scholarship 

Qualifications:

  • You must be a current high school senior. High school graduates are not eligible.
  • You must be a citizen of the United States on the date your application is submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

Note: You do not have to be a member (or the dependent of a member) of the Elks to qualify.

Amount:  $1,000-$7,500

Anthony B. Davis Scholarship

 

Qualifications:

GPA: 3.0 or higher

Citizenship: U.S. citizen

Education Level: High school senior or undergraduate

Eligibility Requirements 

 1. Must attend a public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM high school located in the United States.

 2. Must be fluent in the English language. 

 3. Must be in the high school graduating class.

 4. Must have achieved a 3.50 Cumulative Grade Point Average. 

 5. Must enroll in an eligible four-year or higher not-for-profit College or University the first fall semester following high school graduation. The Hagan Scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college or online institution.

 6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule in college, or complete the equivalent of a four year degree if in a professional program.

 7. Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until September 1, 2025.  Work must be regularly scheduled employment performed under supervision for compensation. Employment can be full-time or part-time, or a combination of the two.

 8. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all members of a household living under the same roof. 

 9. Applicants selected as Finalists must provide the first two pages of their FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) showing their Student Aid Index (SAI). 

 10. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible. 

 11. Must not have a felony conviction.

The intended recipient is a high-achieving goal-driven student having substantial financial need.

Scholarship:  Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship

 

Qualifications:

  • Be of the Protestant faith.
  • A resident of the State of Iowa.
  • Plan to attend University of Iowa full time.

Qualifications:

    The DMWC annually awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors, college students, and students pursuing higher education degrees. This year, the DMWC will give scholarships in areas of study including art, drama, music, STEM, Music Education, Elementary Education, and Veterinary Sciences.

 

Amount:  $1,000-$2,000 each

Deadline:  Throughout the month of January 2025

  • Be currently enrolled or plan to be enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited U.S. college or university. Vocational/technical, two-year, four-year, or graduate institutions are eligible.
  • Be a high school junior or senior, undergraduate student, or graduate student
  • Have a grade point average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 system
  • Recipients must provide an official transcript confirming their reported GPA and proof of enrollment
  • This scholarship honors the memory of Aaliyah Lee who committed herself to the educational opportunities of her children.

To be eligible, a student must be:

  • A high school senior and/or expecting to receive a high school diploma during the current academic year.
  • An active member in good standing of a National Honor Society chapter, meeting all membership requirements and obligations of the local chapter.
  • An NHS student account holder, verified by the NHS chapter adviser.
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university.

Note: There are no limits to the number of applicants per chapter.

    Iowa Junior Chamber International (JCI) Senate College/University Scholarship


    Eligibility:

    -Seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, or universities within the United States.

    -3.75 GPA

    -ACT / SAT NATIONAL TEST SCORES SHOULD BE INCLUDED IF YOU HAVE THEM. Note: While the ACT / SAT scores are not mandatory – Extra judging points will be awarded for the test scores, if included.

    ISL Education Lending Scholarship

    Eligibility: 

    To be eligible, you must be an Iowa resident and either:

    • An Iowa high school student (ninth–12th grade).
    • An undergraduate college student (freshman–senior).
    • A parent or guardian of, or another adult who holds an ISave 529 account to benefit, an Iowa high school student or an undergraduate college student.
