Welcome to a “Rockin” Great Year

We are excited to begin our second year as a Primary School serving TK – 3rd grade students from the Newton and Lambs Grove area. This year we will have one section of TK, five sections of kindergarten, first and second grade and four sections of 3rd grade. We welcome all students and families to Thomas Jefferson, and encourage you to visit any time during the year. We believe it is important to work in partnership with parents to help each child be the best they can be.

Our staff is excited to begin the 11-12 year with a theme of “TJ Rocks! ”. We want each student to “Rock to Success ” as we all do our best to make this an outstanding year of learning, growing and having fun!

In addition to a rigorous curriculum in reading, math, language arts, science and social students, students have an opportunity for special classes in art, music, physical education and library/computer technology training.

Our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program continues to focus on being safe, showing respect and making responsible decisions to create an environment where everyone can enjoy learning and doing their best.

As part of the partnership with parents, we enjoy a strong PTA here at Thomas Jefferson. Please consider joining the PTA as we work together on behalf of our students and families.
