Thomas Jefferson has a student population of 400 students, including 3 sections of kindergarten and 2 sections of 1 st-6 th grades. Many special services supplement our regular school programs. These include: Title 1 Reading, Special Education, Guidance, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Physical Education, Art, and Library. We also house the NCSD’s Early Childhood Special Education and Transitional Kindergarten programs.

Our school is a growing school that has been providing quality education to the Newton and Lambs Grove communities for many years. Our vibrant staff of teachers is dedicated to providing every child with the best educational opportunities possible. This year at Thomas Jefferson our focus will be on RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, and SAFETY! We will be implementing our building-wide Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) where we teach all students our expectations and positively reinforce all that they do.

TJ Elementary starts school at 8:15 a.m. and lets out at 3:08 p.m.
