Welcome to the 2011-2012 School Year

We will begin our second year as an Intermediate 4th – 6th grade school this year with five sections of each grade level in 11-12. We welcome all students and families to Aurora Heights, and encourage you to visit any time you desire prior to the start of school and of course during the year.

Our staff is excited to begin the 11-12 year with a theme of “Great Adventures in Learning ”. We want each student to “Soar to Success ” as we all do our best to make this an outstanding year for learning and growing. We challenge each child to take charge of his/her own learning and make it a personal best year.

In addition to a rigorous curriculum in reading, math, language arts, science and social students, students have an opportunity for special classes in art, music, physical education and library/computer technology training. Additionally, students may begin band in fifth grade. Our Positive Behavior Support program focuses on learning in a positive environment showing respect and consideration for one another in all areas. We train students in the right way to work and learn together.
