Newton Community School District is located in Jasper County, Iowa, less than 25 miles from our state capital of Des Moines. Our District has approximately 3,000 students in our two K-3 Elementary Schools, two 4-6 Elementary Schools, one 7-8 Middle School, one 9-12 High School, and one 9-12 Alternative High School. We are the 30th largest district in the state, proud to be big enough to offer many quality programs and small enough to take individual care of all of our children. Newton Schools enjoy an outstanding reputation in the state and Midwest for exemplary curricular and co-curricular programs.
