Downloadable Documents
The documents  (in red) below are available for you to open, view, download, and print.  Unless otherwise noted they are in Adobe Acrobat format (pdf) and you will need to use a compatible reader.
An informational brochure outlining possible reconfiguration options: Option #1 (K-3) (4-6) Option #2 (K-4) (5-6) Option #3 (K-2) (3-4) (5-6) ...and Educational Outcomes regarding campus size, smaller classroom size (18-20), school transitions, busing impact, Core teachers, Title I teachers, Special Ed teachers, Specials teachers, collaboration, number of teachers needed, boundary changes needed, option differences, and school culture potential.
Prezi includes the three possible reconfiguration options and more in depth information from parent & teacher surveys and research on educational outcomes mentioned above.
The purpose of this analysis is to provide the District information on demographic conditions within the community, as well as provide some insight into the development and socioeconomic conditions that ultimately will influence the number of students the District will need to educate in the next five years. Additionally, demographic comparisons of Jasper County, the City of Newton, and the District community are contained within this report. Information about future enrollment is contained in the report.
Additional information on the Berg Complex and Potential District Reconfiguration may be found on the School Board pages - Agendas, Minutes, and Packets - as well as from the main page - Administration - Committees, and School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC).

Thank you for your interest in doing whatever it takes for the students of the Newton Community School District!
